Excellent. For all the books I buy, I know the material, or read the language, or just know what I'm paying for as far as the material goes. This usually reduces a review from me to the ease of use, the quality and durability of the binding, the clarity of the print, the page color, and general attractiveness. I can find no fault this way with any of my bible purchases, including this one. One correction: assuming you are writing in English: it is better to say Persian (Farsi) than Farsi (Persian); the language is Persian to an English speaker, and Farsi the Arabicized Persian word for the slight regional variation that in Iran now goes by the name of Farsi. In English, the culture is Persian, the carpets are Persian, the cats are Persian, the Gulf is Persian--and the language is Persian.

great drawings

This book is nice not only for the drawing lesson but also for nostalgia and a bit of catching up on the Transformers universe.

Personally, I am a big fan of the early generation 1 characters (Season one and two primarily) and I was disappointed to see there were not enough drawings of them. It really is more nostalgia than instruction, because there isn't a lot of book for the price and I was expecting it to be be a little thicker, even for spiral bound.

That aside, there are some nice foldouts and tracing paper drawings of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, and some nice drawings of Jazz and Prowl to name a few of the best.

Overall a worthwhile purchase if you love the Transformers and want to flex your creative skills.

Not Just For Kids

I saw this and had to pick it up, I'm not a big fan of Transformers so to speak, but I love robots, so this was a must. The book actually moves pretty quickly on how to draw, so I'd suggest this book is for people who already have decent skills, and wish to learn to draw some techniques to create Transformers. The book moves from drawing transformers, to inking, some coloring basics, and even laying out panels for a comic. Again, keep in mind that this book, I believe, is meant for people with fundamental drawing skills already. The book moves quite briskly between the chapters, but gives enough information to get you started.

I'm 25, and I really enjoyed the book, I felt a little goofy purchasing this at a local bookshop though; but oh well. We are always kids at heart, right?

Excellent mix of basic art and Transformer-specific techniques

I recently bought this book and have found it very helpful for improving on drawing robots and their vehicular disguises, as I'm normally drawing more organic-based artwork.

This is not a book that is simply full of 5-step 'copy this image' pages, but rather it focuses on teaching one artistic technique at a time - starting from basic pencil sketching of shapes and figures, and finishing with 'creating a comic'. The sections on drawing transformation sequences, dramatic action scenes, and inking and coloring were especially helpful.

The art in the book (there are plenty of examples) is nearly all by the excellent TF artist Guido Guidi, and is mainly based off the comic book artwork, rather than the cartoons or live action movie. However the techniques could easily be applied to any continuity, or indeed non-TF artwork as well. Overall a great book - easy to use, well organized, interesting, good value for money, lots of fun!

William J. Stanton is professor emeritus of marketing at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He received his PhD in marketing from Northwestern University, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. He has worked in business and has taught in several management development programs for marketing executives. He has served as a consultant for various business organizations and has engaged in research projects for the federal government. Professor Stanton also has lectured at universities in Europe, Asia, Mexico, and New Zealand. A coauthor of the leading text in sales management, Professor Stanton has also published several journal articles and monographs. Marketing has been translated into Spanish, and separate editions have been adapted (with coauthors) for Canada, Italy, Australia, and South Africa. In a survey of marketing educators, Professor Stanton was voted one of the leaders in marketing thought. And he is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.

The best book in Sales Management

I used this book for the MBA course in Sales Management.
Spiro and Rich did a great job. Each of the seventeen chapters provided
a practical topic for this field.

The cases are short, but get right down to the point. Students love
this book too. I would recommend this book to everyone.
