About the Author
Jaswant singh is among the most respected names in India's public life and in the world of diplomacy. A New Standard in God/Goddess Books

With the publication of Isis Magic, M. Isidora Forrest has set a new standard by which all subsequent books devoted to a single Deity may be measured, and proven that modern Neopaganism and Goddess Spirituality is indeed capable of attaining depth and spiritual maturity.
The book is divided into two sections. The first consists of a historical survey of the worship of Isis through the ages, from antiquity to the present day, with insights worthy of academic journals, but written with the soul and insight of a practitioner, not a mere observer. The second section consists of spiritual practices-- rituals, meditations, devotions-- designed to develop a deep, rich connection with the Goddess Isis.
I recommend this book to anyone who has outgrown the endless stream of redundant introductory level books on Neopaganism and Goddess worship, and to anyone who has (or wishes to develop) a sincere and potent relationship with their Goddess or God. You'll never find a better book on the Goddess ISIS

When "Isis Magic" was first published ten years ago, I said then that it was the greatest, most comprehensive book on the Goddess Isis ever written. That version has now been surpassed by this new revised and expanded tenth anniversary edition. New material, new meditations, new rituals--anyone interested in the Goddess of 10,000 names will want this book.

I can't say enough about this wonderful book

This is a wonderful book! Eight years ago, I purchased the first edition, which I used for various spiritual purposes. I often recommended this book to friends and acquaintances interested in Isis, but when it went out of print, I was deeply saddened. I purchased this new edition the month it became available and I recommend it to any and all who are interested in Egypt; Isis, The Greco-Roman world, or even occult practices of the Renaissance.

It is beautifully written and very well researched.

My only complaint is that some of guided meditations would benefit from an accompanying CD with music and narration to help the solitary practitioner get into the mood of the ritual. Ms Forrest recommends having someone read the mediations or even record yourself reading them, but I am one of those people who finds the sound of my own voice distracting.

Other than that, this book has become like my Bible: I refer to it all the time. I am looking forward to her next endeavor, "Dancing With Dionysus".

An author's perspective on the journey to complete the book 

This project started in 2010 as a follow up to Titanic Lessons for IT Projects which was published in 2007. There was a requirement to update the book for several reasons. The first was to incorporate the latest research on the Titanic case study, discoveries made, and evolving theories. The second was to broaden the book audience from an IT centric to a business centric audience, in line with the direction of the series.
 

Research Completed 

• This consisted of the following:
• Examining new literature and books
• Trawling through Titanic forums and blogs (Titanic Societies)
• Examining original documents from enquiries as found in the National Archives at Kew
• Site visits to Belfast, Southampton, Liverpool, and New York
• Interviewing naval experts

The research would take over 2 years. I visited the UK in 2010 and 2011 to complete the research for the book, gather further information, and collect photos and images. On the itenary were visits to Belfast, Southampton, and Liverpool.

Using the lens of modern Project Management best practices, this book begins a voyage of discovery, conspiracy, greed, ego, triumph and multiple crises. The lens focuses on the critical decisions and events that guided the ship to its fate. The lens becomes a mirror when looking at how blame for the sinking was assigned, and asks the reader to reflect on events today and see how little the world has changed. The early 20th century was marked by mega-projects (steamships, railroads, canals, etc) that were linked by a common faith in new uses of technology.  The unspoken truth was that technology alone put many lives in harm's way, a truth we still face today.

Author Mark Kozak-Holland, in his text Project Management Blunders, presents a searing indictment of the project management failures encountered during the building, launching and ultimately the sinking of the Titanic. Based on an extremely well documented examination of the historical sources the author tells the riveting story of the infamous and unnecessary calamity that included the loss of more than 1500 lives and the destruction of the world's largest ship on her maiden voyage. Kozak-Holland reveals how those losses could have been mitigated and even avoided if the principles of good project management and crisis management were followed instead of decisions being made without proper analysis, risk assessment and thorough contingency planning. Kozak-Holland also shows the ultimate cost of poor management combined with a misguided pursuit of short term profit and PR. We all know how the tragic story of the Titanic ends but Mark Kozak-Holland makes the powerful and easily readable case that events could have and should have turned out differently.

A highly informative book for the professional and the very very keen

This is the shortest time between editions that I’m aware of, the last version of this book came out in November 2014, which was of course CC 2014 version. The first version I bought was back in 2000 which was Adobe Photoshop for Photographers 5.5. then there was 6 and 7, Adobe then changed the name to Creative Suit so there was of course CS 1 thru to CS 6, and now we have CC ,Creative Cloud. Back in 2000 I used Photoshop just for negative scans. I eventually went on to shooting digital and developing an efficient workflow using Bridge, the Raw dialogue box and Photoshop all with the help of this series of books, they really have been highly informative and a joy to read; this will be my 12th edition of this book I’ve bought. One very important point I should make to newcomers of this book is in this and the last edition two chapters have been left out because of lack of room, these are essential reading and should not be overlooked, they are Configuring Photoshop, setting up your preferences etc, and Bridge image management, don’t ignore these chapters, check them out on the accompanying web site they are available as pdf’s. If you’re really dedicated you might like to print them out. Also on the web site are photos to work on and video tutorials, and every few months he makes a pdf available of anything new in Photoshop. If you are totally new to digital photography and have never read this series of books before, don’t be intimidated by the amount of info in it, just stick to it over the months and all will become clear, it’s a bit like learning guitar chords after a few months it gets easier and after a year it starts to become second nature, great fun.
Remember the emphasis here is on still photography.
An excellent companion book to go with this is Jeff Schewe new book The Digital Negative Second Edition which has been published around the same time.
